Experiencing the alpenglow early in the morning will make your heart beat faster. From setting up the balloon, to the amazing views and pictures, to the sparkling wine baptism, it's a fantastic experience!
The start will be between Zell am See and FilzmoosDepending on the wind. We climb to over 3,000 m and you experience the unique scenery of the Austrian mountains from a new perspective.

Summer lake ride
Hot air balloon ride over the lakes in summer
The stillness over the Salzburg lakes in the early morning is something special. You're there from the very beginning: during the balloon's preparation, the launch, and the champagne christening at the end. The views are magnificent and will stay with you for a long time.
During the flight, you'll glide over the lakes and see the landscape from above. The view is tranquil, expansive, and unique. We usually launch from Lake Obertrum, about 30 minutes north of Salzburg. The exact launch site depends on the wind and is determined the day before.

Winter Alpine ride
Ballooning in winter
Experiencing the sunrise from a wicker basket is a moment you'll remember for a long time. Snow-capped mountain peaks, crystal-clear winter air, and a fairytale landscape accompany you throughout the entire journey.
We will start – depending on the wind – between Zell am See and FilzmoosThe wind carries us gently over valleys and peaks as we climb to over 3,000 meters. From there, you can enjoy the Austrian mountains in all their vastness, directly from a bird's-eye view.

Alpine crossing
The ultimate hot air balloon experience: a crossing of the Alps from Austria to Italy. The view encompasses the Großglockner, Großvenediger, the main Alpine ridge and the Dolomites – on a clear day, even as far as the Po Valley towards Venice.
The exact route varies depending on the wind, and of course we have oxygen on board for you.
If conditions are favorable for northerly föhn winds, we will inform you two days before the start. Alpine crossings are only possible on a few days in winter and are therefore a very special highlight.

Depending on the wind, we decide at Alpine journeys In the short term, the ideal starting point is: near Zell am See or in the Filzmoos area. Regarding the Lake trips We start north of the city of Salzburg, near Lake Obertrum.
We always have to follow the wind; a balloon can only be controlled by its altitude and its direction is determined by the wind.
Therefore, you will be informed of the exact meeting point the evening before.

Why do you start so early?
Balloon flights are only possible when the air remains calm. If warm air rises, the balloon becomes more difficult to control. That's why we launch early in the morning when the air is calm. Evening flights are sometimes possible as well. Just ask us!
Why are there no fixed meeting points or starting points?
The direction of travel depends on the wind. A balloon can only be controlled by altitude. Therefore, we only select the suitable launch site the day before and then inform you of the exact meeting point.
How many people fit in a hot air balloon?
Our balloons can accommodate 2 to 16 people. With our entire fleet, we can even transport up to 90 people at once.
