The Hoch Ötz flight area is located at the entrance to the Ötztal in the middle of the Tyrolean mountains. Due to the large difference in altitude of 1350m and the optimal orientation, it has been popular with hang gliders and paragliders for decades.

Experience the beautiful landscape of the Ötztal from a bird's eye view and take off with us. We can easily reach the starting point with the gondola lift.

We meet at the valley station/ticket office of the Acherkogelbahn in Ötz.

We then take the cable car together to the mountain top station. (Cable car ticket is not included)

Process
When you arrive at the mountain station you will receive your equipment including a helmet and gloves.
After about a ten-minute walk we reach the starting point. There the glider is prepared for the flight and we practice the take-off run together so that you know exactly what to expect.
3,2,1, go… After a few steps, we take off into the third dimension, you sit in the comfortable harness and enjoy the breathtaking view.
Soft and in the last few meters, with almost no forward movement, we touch down on the large landing area and walk a few more steps. The earth has us again.
Flights & Prices in Ötztal
classic
The CLASSIC flight in the Ötztal lasts 18 to 30 minutes and can be carried out at any time of the year and at any time of day. Our flight goes from the top of the mountain down to the landing site. Meanwhile you can enjoy the wonderful view.

Classic Plus
On the CLASSIC PLUS flight we use the natural updrafts (thermals) and fly for more than 30 minutes. Amazing views from a higher altitude! If we don´t have enough thermals, the cheaper CLASSIC flight will be charged.

Superior
With the SUPERIOR we fly for around 60 minutes and up to 3000m. Most of the mountain peaks are now below us and we start our sightseeing flight through the upper Ötztal. We fly past the Acherkogel towards Umhausen and get closer and closer to the main Alpine ridge with its glaciers. We climb up again, cross the Ötztal and fly towards the Inntal and over Lake Piburg.
Only possible from February to October, assuming there are thermals.
