Here's a little tip from the locals: To get to know the place best, we recommend taking the Kössen village tour, which takes you to beautiful places in the area.
The Kössen region is also popular for cycling, mountain biking or e-biking. Here you will find routes with different levels of difficulty. You should always be fit and have plenty of energy, which is why you should try out all the culinary aspects of the region. It's ideal that a combination of enjoyment and activity is also offered here:
- Kaiserweis pleasure bike tour – visiting regional dairymen, bakers, distillers, schnapps distillers, bacon and sausage producers
- Cheese wheel round – on the trail of hay milk cheese
Have you ever bathed in the middle of a forest? No? Then you should definitely cool off in the forest swimming pool. Equipped with slides, waterfalls, water mushrooms and much more, all age groups will have fun there.
The Walchsee in the neighboring town of the same name offers a little more space for swimming. The shimmering blue-green natural lake can be reached from Kössen in just ten minutes by car and from there you can easily combine a visit to the “Schwemm” moor area. This large nature reserve is home to numerous species of dragonflies, frogs and newts.
If you want to cool down with a little adrenaline, we recommend rafting in the Tiroler Ache or canyoning in the gorges of Tyrol.
One of the absolute highlights of the region is a hot air balloon ride: hop in the basket and explore the region from above.
